The Franciacorta Decennale is the absolute novelty. The 1996 vintage was a wonderful vintage, certainly one of the best for Franciacorta: The cuvée obtained in February 1997 for the vintage-dated 1996 wine seemed it could have a further aging period on the yeasts. So a part of it was kept, that came out as foregoing in January 2006. The evolution in bottle confirms the intuition. The characteristics of this wine are enthusiastic with a different profile from other Franciacorta wines of ours. It is spicy, mineral, with toasted almond, incense and candied fruit scents. This Franciacorta is persistent and ample in the mouth and, when it is tasted, little by little it reveals an extraordinary personality.
