Mud House Hay Maker Merlot 
New Zealand colour Deep crimson/purple. nose Dark cherries, spice and cinnamon with subtle oak undertones. palate Plum, red currants and spice, supported by fresh acidity, good tannin structure and balanced oak. comments Beautifully clean, mature fruit was harvested and brought into the winery where it was de-stemmed and then put into a fermenter. During the 10-day fermentation period, the fruit was plunged four times a day to help extract colour, fruit flavour and tannin.
