Mud House Pinot Noir 
New Zealand colour Bright ruby. nose Sweet lifted aromas of cherries and plums with a hint of currants and integrated savoury and toasty oak notes. palate A medium-bodied, easy drinking wine with a soft, full palate and balanced acidity. Cherry and savoury flavours dominate, supported by hints of plum and red currant. comments The fruit for this wine was selected from low cropping vineyards in the Wairau Valley. The fruit was brought to the winery where it was quickly de-stemmed and chilled. During fermentation in stainless steel open top tanks, the fruit was hand plunged up to six times a day before pressing and maturation in a mix of new and used French oak. The wine was then blended, stabilised, fined and prepared for bottling. vineyard region Marlborough vineyard conditions The 07 Mud House Pinot is all from vineyards in the Wairau Valley, about 60% were from the Conders Bend area (Riversleigh, Maginess, Joslin) and the rest are scatted through the valley.
